THE GUT BRAIN THING NOBODY EXPLAINED TO YOU

September 2, 2026 · 1 min read

Greetings, Wholistic living Community

Have You ever notice your stomach knots up when you're anxious? Or that a stressful week wrecks your digestion?

That's not in your head it's the gut-brain connection, and understanding it changes how you approach almost everything.

Here's the short version. Your gut and your brain are in constant two-way conversation through the vagus nerve, and your gut produces a huge share of your body's serotonin AKA that calm, feel-good chemical.

So when your gut is inflamed or out of balance, it doesn't just show up as digestion issues. It shows up as anxiety, brain fog, low mood, poor sleep, and that wired-but-tired feeling.

Which means two things most people miss:

You can't fully calm your mind while your gut is inflamed they're linked.

And soothing your nervous system (through breath, rest, real nourishment) actually helps your gut heal. It works both directions.

This is why I never treat the body in pieces. The bloating, the anxiety, the fatigue they're usually the same story told in different languages. Heal the root, and the symptoms you thought were separate start resolving together.

Something to sit with 🌿
